Lucy and Ruth know that taking care of your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing can revolutionise your business. Preventing staff burnout will increase productivity, engagement and ultimately save your company time and money.

Burn out is real. In fact 50% of UK workers say they’ve experienced anxiety or burnout in their current job. Ruth and Lucy have been there. They know what it is that leads to that demotivated, disconnected feeling that’s tipping so many people over the edge. 

Over the last decade Ruth and Lucy have made it their mission to change this. They’ve worked with hundreds of people to help them achieve greater productivity, engagement and happiness at work by looking at physical, emotional and mental health.

Durability and authenticity are at the heart of everything they offer.

“30 is one of those milestones where you get to evaluate your life and tick the boxes of all the things you’ve achieved. Except when I turned 30, I was feeling ‘stuck’ in an office job, in a city I found draining and uninspiring. The grind and pressures of “earning a living” had left me tired and working longer and longer hours. At the same time I didn’t feel happy or emotionally healthy. In the end it all got so overwhelming that I quit my job… and ran away! 

I decided to move to the south of France and in my year there discovered a way of life that I thrived in – with freedom, simplicity and balance. I taught Pilates, ate healthily and healed. In the process I learnt that balance and a healthy lifestyle does not have to be complex, and and I wanted to share these learnings with others.

I returned to the UK with a commitment to help others find their balance by providing simple, no-nonsense, no-sacrifice. I spend every day working with people to improve their physical health, nutrition and lifestyle with a view to giving them the freedom to create the life they desire.” 

Ruth is an MSc qualified nutritionist, sports scientist and health editor with over ten years’ experience in corporate wellness.

“8.17pm one Friday night and my Account Director handed me a glass of wine at my desk and said “Happy Friday!” I was 24, and already I was desperately miserable in my career. Overworked, lethargic and empty, I was binge drinking at the weekends for quick release. I wasn’t helping anyone, let alone myself. This had to change. 

I quit my job to volunteer in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. That led me to turn my life around. I went on a positive psychology course and discovered meditation. That gave me the tools to turn my life around. 

10 years on and looking back (with great relief) I wish I had known some of the techniques I teach now to prevent my burn out. No one deserves to be in a position where they are working so hard they forget their self care. I’m now passionate about educating other young professionals to look after their mental health and help them to understand the importance of nurturing emotional intelligence. 

Every day I see my clients’ lives change using the toolbox I give them, and I see the businesses they work for flourish as a result.”

Lucy is an ICF accredited coach, positive psychologist, mindfulness expert and founder of Technotox. She is an author for Everyday Mindfulness and Mindspace and has taught the Action for Happiness course Exploring What Matters.
