Charlotte has a data analyst and psychology lecturer. She has spent many years working on a variety of different research projects both in academia and in the private sector. She has also taught research methods and statistics at a number of UK universities. She has a great passion for ensuring that data is used accurately and the correct conclusions are drawn.

SLEEP PSYCHOLOGIST

Gabriela is a HCPC registered and qualified Clinical Psychologist with a specialist interest in the non-pharmacological management of sleep disorders. She works with individuals and groups experiencing chronic insomnia. She also offers advanced teaching and training to staff groups seeking to enhance their knowledge on sleep and health professionals who would like to develop their clinical practice. Gabriela works part-time for the Insomnia Service based at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, UCLH.

Working to improve literacy and acceptance while promoting positive conversations around mental health has been a key driver throughout my working life. With a career that has spanned the NHS, voluntary sector and higher education establishments, progressing my career within mental health to help others to manage their wellbeing has been rewarding, but it has also shown me the need to ensure that I prioritise self-care and make time for the important things in my own life – especially as the increasing responsibility of more senior roles started to take hold. Selina is a highly experienced mental health advisor, mental health trainer/facilitator and qualified sports rehabilitation therapist and Pilates instructor.

Lucy Faulks-Barnard studied Positive Psychology on Dr Martin Seligman’s resilience programme at the University of Pennsylvania and is an ICF accredited coach, with years of experience coaching executives. As a speaker Lucy Faulks specialises in resilience, emotional intelligence, mental health, happiness and mindfulness and meditation.

In addition, Lucy is the author of Technotox – a blog and platform supporting emotional wellbeing in our complex digital age. She has also taught the Action for Happiness course – exploring what matters. With her work, Lucy Faulks-Barnard stays down to earth and explores how we can bring wellness into our everyday lives.

RUTH TONGUE

Ruth is an MSc qualified nutritionist, sports scientist and health editor with over fifteen years’ experience in employee wellbeing. As a behaviour change expert, she has worked with businesses, athletes, schools, and in the food and tech industries to help support long lasting lifestyle changes. She writes for health publications in the UK and internationally, and regularly provides expert comment in the media.

DR HEATHER MCKEE
BEHAVIOUR CHANGE SPECIALIST

Dr Heather McKee is the UK’s leading lifestyle behaviour change specialist, lecturer, speaker, consultant and founder of www.drheathermckee.co.uk. Having studied health behaviour change psychology for 10 years her mission is to help people make lasting health changes using research-driven methods to find freedom and joy in their healthy habits. She works as a habit coach (working 1:1 with clients to support them in overcoming their barriers to healthy habits) and as a behaviour change specialist (supporting businesses in designing and delivering in-person and digital wellness programmes for long term adherence and positive health outcomes). Her passion is in translating evidence-based techniques into real-life practices to help people build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to create lasting and enjoyable healthy habits. Her motivational science-based workshops have been carefully constructed to engage and empower audiences, giving them the tools they need to create lasting healthy habits. This means that by the end of the workshop, participants have a head start on the road to changing their behaviours. Dr McKee’s research has been published internationally in leading academic journals, as well as featuring in Time magazine, Huffington Post, The Times, The Daily Mail and LA times.

David is a Yoga and meditation teacher with more than twenty years teaching experience, first in his native Vancouver and now in London. His passion and purpose is in facilitating personal transformation and resilience, through his classes and workshops as well as his work as an accredited psychotherapist. His approach is science based, irreverent and skeptic friendly.

DR GEMMA MCCORMICK
GP AND ONCOLOGIST

Dr Gemma McCormick is a doctor specialising in oncology (the treatment of cancer), currently working at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. She completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cambridge before continuing her clinical studies at Kings College London. She uses radiotherapy, chemotherapy and novel drug therapies in the treatment of a wide range of cancer types. Dr McCormick aims to improve patient outcomes and therapies through her involvement in cutting edge cancer research. Her experience of managing patients with cancer has led her to be particularly interested in health education, advising how to reduce risk of developing cancer and improve early diagnosis rates. Outside of medicine Gemma enjoys cycling and running. She is a keen traveller, particularly to go wildlife watching or to spectate the Irish rugby team.

SLEEP EXPERT

Sophie Bostock, PhD, is a health psychologist turned Sleep Evangelist. Following degrees in medicine and entrepreneurship, she completed a PhD at UCL in the field of Psychobiology, focusing on the interactions between work stress, wellbeing and heart disease. This led to an interest in sleep as one of the unsung heroes of health and performance.Sophie has conducted a number of research trials in corporate settings, exploring the impact of sleep improvement and mindfulness on productivity and wellbeing. She spent two years an NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellowship to help promote digital sleep medicine in the NHS. Sophie also works as UK Innovation Lead at Big Health, the digital medicine company, and as a performance coach at CHX Performance. Sophie has appeared as a sleep expert for the BBC and ITV, and is a TEDx speaker.

COACH AND FACILITATOR

David is a Certified Professional Co-active Coach and 4th dan black belt in karate, aikido and Japanese sword. He uses awareness of the body and the mind-body connection to empower people to greater confidence, presence and authenticity. David is also a Samaritans volunteer and trainer, facilitating deeper listening and relational skills. Together, these enable people to show up in their personal and professional relationships with more vitality and personal power.

SUICIDE PREVENTION EXPERT

Rose Allett is the founder and owner of Start the Conversation, offering straight-talking, evidence-based and practical training on suicide prevention skills. As well as being a skilled facilitator, Rose is a qualified counsellor, specialising in working with young people aged 13-25 and with women affected by or living with domestic abuse. She has also managed Safe Space, a late-night project helping anyone who has become lost, distressed, intoxicated or suicidal on their night out, and co-managed the Brighton & Hove Wellbeing Service for children and young people aged 4-25, managing a team of 25 counsellors, cognitive behaviour therapists, play and drama therapists and more.

Darryl is a qualified accountant who has worked for over 15 years in financial services up to senior management level before completing her MBA 5 years ago. Since then she has moved her career into consulting. While a consultant with KPMG she helped to set up their startup mentoring programme which helps entrepreneurs to manage and plan their growth. She has also led several financial improvement projects for large organisations which included rolling out supporting training programmes. Since taking the leap to create her own consultancy in 2016 Darryl has worked with a range of companies instilling strong financial controls and structure. In addition, she has been a start-up loan mentor helping entrepreneurs manage their budgets and funding. She has spoken at no 10 to lobby for SME business, is an Institute of Directors Ambassador for funding, has spoken on financial topics at a number of events and written on financial topics for FSN. At the heart of Darryl’s ethos is focused on ‘not what you earn but what you save’. Whether an individual or a business the principles are the same for being financially savvy. Johann is the Founder of Sagely, a financial wellness platform helping employees build better money habits, using neurological learning and habit formation techniques. He spent 6 years helping to start and build an investment business for a Bank and then worked for a boutique investment firm to help build a team for them. Transitioning to startups, he then worked as Director of Product of a Pan-European FinTech simplifying investing for the average person. Dr Wasay Foladi’s philosophy is to be open to different influences and aims to be accessible to all. Sanskrit and chanting do not form part of his yoga teaching. Dr. Bernadette Dancy is a Health Coach who specialises in lifestyle coaching for stress and mental health. Bernie has 15 years working as a Senior Lecturer in Health and Exercise Science teaching Exercise Psychology, Behaviour Change and Aetiology of Chronic Disease. She has a PhD in Sport Psychology, a Master’s degree in Lifestyle Cardiology as well professional qualifications in Personal Training, Exercise Referral, and Nutritional Therapy.
A keen runner herself, Bernie believes running or exercise in general doesn’t need to be all consuming or added to an already hectic lifestyle/workload in attempt to manage stress. As such she is currently working on a research project with Kings College London and the global sports brand ASICS, which aims to investigate the impact of movement on stress and mental health in occupational settings. Bernie is also co-founder of ‘RunWell’, a group that aims to help recreational runners and their coaches to better manage running for stress and mental health, as they’re quite often adding training stress to over-stretched resources.
As someone who personally experienced burnout herself, Bernie uses her professional, academic and personal experiences to inspire, motivate and educate people on how to live a life that’s not stress free, but realistic and manageable.

Tim LeBon is a an accredited CBT psychotherapist, author, educator and life coach with over 20 years professional experience. Tim combines working in the NHS as a CBT psychotherapist with private practice, lecturing and training. He is passionate about helping people use psychology and philosophy to live better lives.

KATHARINA LERDELE
SLEEP SPECIALIST & CHRONOBIOLOGIST

Dr Kat is a sleep specialist and chronobiologist who translates scientific findings and proven therapeutic techniques into practical everyday solutions for people with sleep problems – whether that’s people experiencing chronic insomnia, or those who have the odd poor night. She also teaches people more about why sleep is important and how to sleep well and feel good as a result.
In her work she combines a deep understanding of the biology of sleep and the body clock (she holds a PhD in Human Circadian Physiology & Behaviour and MSc in Biosciences), with her practical experience in managing workforce fatigue and learnings from Mindfulness and Acceptance Commitment Training.
Dr Kat’s appears on the radio writes. She has written a practical guide to getting good sleep called ‘Sleep Sense’. Linked to this, Somnia also runs sleep hacks and educational talks and workshops. These use a variety of methods, and participants, for example workforce teams, get to understand more about their own sleep behaviour and then design personal sleep plans that help them make behavioural changes and sleep well.

ROCHELLE MCLAUGHLIN

Rochelle is certified to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness. She has completed advanced studies in Humanistic Psychology and is a certified yoga instructor. She has taught MBSR and neuro-social-psychophysiological perspectives and practices to several hundred participants through SJSU and internationally and she regularly leads retreats on integrating mindfulness into healthcare, human services, and corporate wellness programs, for people experiencing a broad range of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges.
Rochelle has personally and professionally experienced and witnessed the integration of mindfulness meditation practice as an extraordinary healing balm for the heart, body, mind, and soul as well as a practice of transforming relationships to self and others. She has woven mindfulness into settings such as mental and physical challenges and disabilities, pediatric care and conscious parenting, cancer care, grief and loss, equine-assisted modalities, chronic pain, as well as social and ecological justice work.
Rochelle’s teachings are rooted in her own embodied experiences of the transformative power of mindful awareness practices and she is inspired by the collective and collaborative journey weaving mindfulness in our unique experience and expression of these profound and personal practices in our lives.

SHAHROO IZADI

Shahroo is a Behavioural Change Specialist in private practice, as well as an experienced speaker, coach, workshop facilitator and bestselling author. Her approach is influenced by the experience she gained working in various roles across the addiction treatment field in clinical, community and prison settings. During this time, Shahroo developed a knowledge of how to illicit self-led change and motivation to it, both personally and professionally.
Amongst her various roles, Shahroo is a relapse management coach and group facilitator at Amy’s Place, a recovery house for women in recovery from substance misuse set up by The Amy Winehouse Foundation. She has delivered personal development workshops at The School of Life and been invited on to the faculty; provided training and consultancy services to the UK’s leading health and social care organisations and worked alongside Westminster MIND, training Wellbeing Coaches who use their own experience of mental health recovery to support others in their communities. In 2019 she travelled to Samos, Greece, to train staff based at local NGOs on coping strategies and simple tools to avoid burnout whilst working to support an overflowing refugee camp.
Shahroo was one of Red Magazine’s ‘Smart Women’ of 2018, recently selected for Marie Claire’s 2019 verified Power List and named Thought Leader of the Year at the House of Lords by the Baton Awards in November 2019. Her second book, The Last Diet, builds on The Kindness Method successful framework and focuses on changing eating habits and developing positive body image and compassionate self-talk. It was released in the UK in December 2019 and will be published the USA in April 2020.

BRIDGETTE WILSON
CONSULTANT DIETITIAN

Post-Doctoral Research Associate, King’s College London. Dr Bridgette Wilson PhD RD completed her MSc in molecular biology and functional genomics at Ag Research, New Zealand, investigating the genetic cascade involved in skeletal muscle wasting conditions. Bridgette has always been passionate about food and left Science to work as a Chef in France and London for a number of years before returning to study to become a registered Dietitian in the UK. Bridgette worked in a large London NHS Trust before again returning to study for her PhD at King’s College London. Bridgette’s award-winning PhD investigated the effects of fibre in gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, and further studied the effect of fibre on gut inflammation. Bridgette has published a number of peer reviewed journal articles on diet and gut health and is one of the lead Consultant Dietitians at The Gut Health Clinic in the Harley St Precinct, London. Bridgette continues to lead research into fibre interventions in functional gut disorders at King’s College London.

KATHERINE KIMBER
DIETITIAN

Katherine Kimber is a non-diet Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. She is on a mission to set you free from food restriction and confusing nutrition information. She helps those who want to get off the diet train for good, but who are stuck in the cycle of swinging between diet land (being ‘good’), and doughnut land (“falling off the wagon”). She supports those who are struggling with food guilt, food anxieties, regularly emotional eating, overeating, binge-eating, yo-yo dieting, and feeling a little trapped or confused about what and how to eat. She has an NHS background and is trained to support with medical conditions like disordered eating, eating disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes and high cholesterol.
Katherine has completed an extensive amount of formal education and training with a first-class degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from King’s College London, and a distinction in her Masters in Clinical Research. She is also highly experienced in providing motivational support and holds a Diploma in Neurolinguistic Programming. Katherine is passionate about helping you reach your happiest and healthiest self without dieting and deprivation.

Dr Hazel Harrison (Clinical Psychologist) set up ThinkAvellana with a mission to bring psychology out of the clinic and into workplaces and schools. Harnessing her belief that prevention is better than cure, she develops and delivers keynotes and training workshops on a range of wellbeing and mental health topics.
Hazel is a writer and presenter for the BBC. Her series ‘The Brain Lab’ recently won best short film at the 2020 Prolific North awards.
Her clients also include BT, Daily Mail Group, East of England Co-Op, Fremantle, Royal Ballet School, Saatchi & Saatchi, and The Times.
Hazel completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Media at Leeds University before completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University of East Anglia. After graduating, she worked in the NHS for 13 years and specialised in helping children and families.

YOGA THERAPIST & TEACHER

Alice is a Yoga Teacher and registered Yoga Therapist, having completed over 900 hours of training. Alice teaches yoga according to the 8-fold path which includes movement (asana), breath-work (pranayama), the practice of withdrawing from the scenes (pratyahara) and meditation (Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi).
Through yoga Alice has developed a loving and more compassionate relationship with herself, which in turn has made her more available to support those around her. She’s learnt to reflect upon her habitual patterns (samskaras) and how they manifest in her body and mind.
Alice believes yoga is for everybody and encourages all students to work mindfully on the mat, with the aim of helping people to find a deeper listening and understanding of themselves.

Eleanor Burt aka ‘Posture Ellie’ is a Postural Alignment Therapist trained in The Egoscue Method. She works with her clients to improve their posture and restore a greater range of movement through each joint in the body. This is done through gentle corrective exercises which pull the body back into its natural alignment and reduce symptoms of wear and tear in the joints, not about telling people to ‘sit up straight’! Ellie has achieved her PAS 1 & 2 qualification (Postural Alignment qualifications), and has visited The Egoscue Method HQ in San Diego for further experience as an intern (December 2018). She subsequently achieved my ETS qualification (the next level Egoscue Method qualification) and is now one of the country’s most renowned postural alignment experts.

Rory Brown is a Regulated Nutrition Coach, Behaviour Change Specialist and Fitness trainer specialising in helping individuals break free from the dieting culture, and restoring their relationship with mind body and food. TRAUMA AND LOSS FACILITATOR

The Fandangoe Kid is a London based print artist who makes large-scale narrative-driven pieces for the public realm. Her work seeks to smash taboos around complex subject matters such as loss, trauma release, mental health and gender constructs.
During lockdown, The Fandangoe Kid redesigned nurse’s scrubs for Marie Curie x NHS London, working with a palliative care nurse via Zoom to develop the uniform, celebrating International Year of the Nurse, 2020. The artist’s work was shot for a feature about grief and mental health for Channel 4, looking at the importance of her practice in 2020.
The Fandangoe Kid has recently completed a large scale mural for YouTube for World Mental Health Day 2020, alongside a large scale digital piece for Sadiq Khan’s charity Thrive, looking at resilience.
Much of the artist’s work is driven by navigating her own story, following the loss of many individuals in her family back in 2011, her practice being largely underpinned by the will to create a platform for open dialogue around the still taboo subject of grief.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

On top of designing our brochures and newsletters and extensive experience working with production companies, Tom is known for his work as a sound artist and has performed and exhibited internationally for over 10 years. Ranging from multi-speaker installations in a victorian ice-well, to collaborative live performances, his most recent project with Surface Area Dance Theatre has seen his compositions translated into vibration with deaf and hearing dancers wearing haptic vests to feel the sound. He has won a British composer award for Sonic Art and curates an event series for artists presenting live works In progress called Apologies in Advance.

FINANCIAL WELLBEING EXPERT

Timi Merriman-Johnson is an award-winning financial content creator, podcaster, author and founder of Mr MoneyJar, a UK-based financial education company.

Mr MoneyJar offers accessible, practical financial guidance, through digital content, events and 1-2-1 coaching, and has been featured on the BBC, LadBible and Sky News.

Timi is an ambassador at National Numeracy, an independent UK charity that promotes the importance of numeracy through creating educational content for all, covering topics such as budgeting, saving, getting on the property ladder and investing. Timi is also the host of Be Good with Money, a weekly podcast featuring individuals and organisations who are using money to create a positive impact.

DR EFOSA UWUBAMWEN
DOCTOR AND CREATIVE WELLBEING SPECIALIST

Efosa is a registered medical doctor with a background in major trauma and more than nine years of medical training behind him. He is now specialising in the emerging field of Creative Health, a subspecialty of Public Health. Efosa graduated from Masaryk University with a degree in Medicine, which included competitive placements at Cambridge University Hospitals. He went on to complete a tenure working at one of Europe’s most highly respected institutions, King’s College Hospital in London, where he continues to work on a part-time basis. Currently, he divides non-clinical time among creative and business endeavours. The goal: to improve the way health is approached in our society through better, more intentional design and by utilising art as a tool for communication and community growth.

DR NADIA AMOKRANE
GYNAECOLOGIST AND WOMEN’S HEALTH EXPERT

Dr Nadia Amokrane is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist working in a South London hospital. She completed her medical degree at the University of Bristol and continued her medical training in ‘obs and gynae’ in London. Dr Amokrane enjoys the great variety her job offers; working with pregnant women antenatally and looking after them during labour and birth and also caring for patients with different gynaecological problems such as period problems, fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain and menopausal symptoms. Her career path has led her to be an advocate in women’s health and she is particularly interested in empowering women to take care of their sexual and reproductive health. Outside of medicine, Nadia is a mum to 3 young children, enjoys hiking and tennis and loves to escape to sunny destinations by the sea.

DANIEL BROOKE
NEURODIVERSITY SPECIALIST

Daniel provides organisations with the knowledge and tools to benefit from having a neurodiverse workforce and to understand the value of neurodiversity. Daniel is a British Dyslexia Association (BDA) qualified workplace needs assessor, First Aid for Mental Health instructor, experienced coping strategies coach and employability skills trainer and has experience supporting over a thousand neurodivergent individuals across many different sectors. Daniel also has a strong passion for advising organisations on how to create a clear process of support for neurodivergent employees and how to attract, and retain neurodiverse talent.

DAN COOPER
WORKPLACE CHOIR LEAD

Dan Cooper is a professional choir leader and vocal coach with over 10 years’ experience delivering top class workshops, sessions and singing lessons. He runs a successful choir; Love Soul Choir, is co-director of a children’s group; Sound Pop Academy and is the founder of a workplace choir company; SingForce. In 2019, his choir performed with Take That. He’s also worked on TV shows as a vocal coach including BBC’s ‘Little Mix The Search’ and is passionate about the positive impact that singing in a group has on wellbeing. Dan truly believes in the power of singing and wants more people to experience the joy it can bring. Dan says: “I have the best job in the world. I am never happier than when I am teaching people to sing and seeing how happy it makes them.”

GUT HEALTH AND SPORTS NUTRITIONIST

Jess is a registered nutritionist and physiotherapist, currently working as Women’s Health Lead at Angel City Football Club. Her specialist interest areas are sports, gut health and sustainable nutrition. She has previously held roles at Chelsea FC, and has worked with mountain athletes in high-altitude locations. She is passionate about supporting individuals to optimise their health, wellbeing and performance by providing clear evidence-based advice.

PAOLA NAPOLITANO
MASSAGE THERAPIST

Paola is a somatic movement educator and remedial massage therapist. Paola is a fully qualified Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy with a BTEC Level 5 Diploma from NLSSM, ITEC Level 3 Holistic Massage, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Deep Tissue and On-Chair Massage. She is a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) from the LIMS® of New York, and an MA in Professional Practice, Somatic Studies. Her approach to massage is comprehensive and intuitive, based on several years of working professionally as a performing dance artist.

MENOPAUSE SPECIALIST

Kate is an experienced Menopause Coach and gender equity consultant. She works with women and organisations to create simple strategies that enable modern and supportive Menopause conversations. Ensuring women retain their careers and organisations continue to benefit from some of their most brilliant employees. She is an internationally published author, her book ‘Your Second Phase – reclaiming work and relationships during and after Menopause’ was shortlisted for the Business Book of the Year Award.
